History: One of the Hoyasala king was Vishnuvardhana who come to power in 1110 CE. He built this temple to mark his conversion to Sri vaishnavism. It took 103 years to finish. Architecture: The temple consists of 443.5ft by 396 ft court with several Hindu temple. The temple is sun facing. There are various stone carvings, monuments on the wall of temple. Some of the monuments are damaged.
